Day 1: Arrival day

Overnight in Siem Reap

Day 2: Angkor Archaeological Park Exploration

After breakfast at 08:00 am, we start the tour to see

Angkor Wat is visually, architecturally and Artistically breathtaking, it is a massive three-tiered pyramid crowned by five lotus like Towers rising 65 meters from ground level. built in early 12 century . Angkor Wat is surrounded by a moat and an exterior wall measuring 1300 meters x 1500 meters. The temple itself is 1 km square and consists of three levels. The king Suryavarman II constructed Angkor Wat in the form of a massive ‘ Temple-mountain ’ dedicated to the Hindu god, Vishnu. It served as his state temple.

Agnkor Thom ( the great Capital ) with 9 Square Kilometers and was the last Capital of the Angkorian Empire. After Jayavarman VII recaptured the Angkorian Capital from the Cham invaders in 1181. The King began a massive building campaign across the empire constructing Angkor Thom as his new Capital City with existing structure such as Baphoun, Phimean Akas, Royal Palace,  Leper King, Elephant Terrace and Bayon ( Four Smiling Faces ) with 54 towers and located in the center of Angkor Thom.

Afternoon, We are going to see

Ta Prohm ( Jungle Temple ) massive fig and Silk-cotton trees grow from the Towers and Corridors offering a Jungle atmosphere, photo opportunities there. Ta Prohm is still well worth an extended exploration of its dark corridors and open plazas. This temple was one of Jayavarman VII’s first major temple project and dedicated to his mother.

Day 2: Angkor Archaeological Park Exploration

After breakfast at 08:00 am, we start the tour to see

Preah Khan Temple is a huge, highly explorable monastic Complex photo opportunities, it originally served as a Buddhist monastery and school. Preah Khan means “ Sacred Sword” in harmony with the architecturally similar Ta Prohm,

Neak Poan is an artificial island with a Mahayana Buddhist temple on a circular island in Jayatataka Baray, which was associated with Preah Khan temple, built during the reign of King Jayavarman VII. It is the “Mebon” of the Preah Khan baray.

Ta Som is a small temple at Angkor was built at the end of the 12th century for King Jayavarman VII. It is located north east of Angkor Thom and just east of Neak Pean. The King dedicated the temple to his father Dharanindravarman II (Paramanishkalapada). The temple consists of a single shrine located on one level and surrounded by a moat and enclosure laterite walls. Like the nearby Preah Khan and Ta Promh the temple was left largely unrestored, with numerous trees and other vegetation growing among the ruins.

Afternoon, We are going to see

Banteay Srei “Citadel of the Women” built in 967AD dedicated to the Hindu gods Shiva and Parvati. Located in the area of Angkor, it lies near the hill of Phnom Dei, 25 km north-east of the main group of temples that once belonged to the medieval capitals of Yasodharapura and Angkor Thom.  Banteay Srei is built largely of red sandstone, a medium that lends itself to the elaborate decorative wall carvings which are still observable today. The buildings themselves are miniature in scale, unusually so when measured by the standards of Angkorian construction. These factors have made the temple extremely popular with tourists, and have led to its being widely praised as the jewel of Khmer art.
