- Royal Palace: Built in 1866 by King Norodom’s predecessors, this impressive and colorful Khmer-style palace is a must-see landmark.
- Throne Hall and Silver Pagoda: Also known as the Emerald Buddha temple, this site houses numerous Buddha statues adorned with precious gems like diamonds, emeralds, gold, and silver.
- National Museum: Cambodia’s premier historical and archaeological museum, featuring:
- Over 14,000 artifacts from prehistoric times to the post-Khmer Empire era
- One of the world’s largest Khmer art collections
- Sculptures, ceramics, bronzes, and ethnographic objects
- Located on Street 13, north of the Royal Palace
- Russian Market: A brief stop before lunch.
